America’s Environmental Protection Agency has valued a statistical life to $6.9 million. The value has witnessed a drop of $1 million from just five years ago. The hypothetical value helps government draw up regulations weighing the costs versus the lifesaving benefits of a proposed rule. The less the value, the less will be the need for a regulation.

Of course there is a price tag for each and every life. In places like Brazil the government cops routinely 'clean' street urchins and homeless people just as if they are valueless garbage. Some people cost more than others.

Compare the value of life of a Somali, Afghan, Iraqi, Palestinian with the life of an American, British, German, French. Now do you see the difference in the price put on the lives of an average person in those countries?

"Life is priceless" is good only in Bible.

Needless to ask. Insurance companies have been doing it for ages. The cost of life is also evaluated in cash value when settling homicide or murder cases.
